Notes

This is a very fine recording of an undercirculated show. The tape deck was paused in between songs causing a "whooshing" sound which I partially edited out. The first few notes of many of the songs are missing due to the pausing but do not allow that to take away from the excellence of the recording. There are other anomalies which I had not listed.

Thanks, Gene, for providing me with your cassettes.

Subject: First time Ripple Played and others!!!
A must have for any fan of the song Ripple, first time played - wrote in 1970 by Hunter in London. This was also the first show for Brokedown Palace, Operator, and Truckin’. Truckin' and Ripple are in my top ten favorite Dead songs and this is a must have for me...thank you to all the heads who over the years have put in time, effort and at times dealing with frustration to provide this music. It is music that has molded me into who I am today. -Born 27 years too late

Cold Rain and Snow is dynamite, the whole sequence from China Cat thru Good Lovin' is a peak, and NFA --> Lovelight is ECSTATIC. Let's get real, folks!!

I wasn't sure of this before, but I've determined that the best version of this show is here:

Here you get a class act acoustic set, as attested to below--as well as a GRADE-A 1970 electric set. Not to be slept on for those hungry for this sort of thing.
